Dialog options/openings:
The Parade:
-
Musical notes drift onto the screen, Hope walks into a high street, which bustles with people.
-
Puzzle 8 - Hope cannot speak to the vendor, her stomach simply rumbling louder if she tries. Once out of grief, interaction is possible, and she gets a toffee apple for the money she has.
-
A crowd approaches as Hope goes down the street. She quietly asks to be given some room, but no one an hear her as cheers ripple through the crowd.
-
Puzzle 9 - As Hope tries to catch her breath, she is interrupted by Teddy: "A-a-are you ok?"
"Are you talking to me?"
"Y-y-yeah. You!"
"You can see me?"
The boy introduces himself, as he asks again what's wrong. She explains that she's new to town, but got lost, and she needs to go home again. Teddy brags about knowing everything about the town. Hope asks if he knows where Ridge Cottage is. Teddy, embarrassed, admits that he doesn't but offers for the two to go to the library. As he begins walking towards the parade, Hope blurts out: "No!.. I-I just mean... Is there another way?"
"O-o-of course there is. We can go the b-b-back way."

Adventuring with Teddy:
-
Puzzle 10 - Teddy explains through his stutter that there's no way to get past the gate except by unlocking it from the other side, which is fine, because there's a little hole in the fence for him to crawl through.
-
Solution - Teddy is impressed with Hope's ability to fly with air currents and double-jump in grief state.
-
As they move in, there's noise coming from where Teddy says the map section is.
-
Puzzle 11 - Teddy freezes in his tracks and his stutter significantly worsens, as he tells Hope he can't go past the bullies from the beginning of the game. Hope summons some bravery and marches past.
"Oh my gosh, it's that boy again!"
"It's a girl, dude."
"Not with that haircut it's not."
They continue laughing and throwing out more useless insults. The bullies freak out as soon as Hope enters grief mode again, referring to her as the "ghost map". -
Composure point - Teddy and Hope start to laugh as the bullies run away.

Back in the woods:
-
Hope and Teddy make their way through the woods, following the river, as Teddy explains that the kids in the library bully him for his stutter at school, so much he never goes anymore, and that's why he knows so much about the town. When Hope asks why doesn't he tell someone about it, he explains that his mum hasn't been the same since his dad left her, and so he just deals with it, but avoids school as much as he can without getting into trouble.
-
Puzzle 12 - Teddy blissfully goes through the fallen tree, asking Hope why is she so upset: "What, did someone die?"
The tree falls down. -
Obstacle - There is a boulder a little away, but it needs both's effort to be moved.
-
Composure point - Talking to Teddy at any point will reveal that he wishes he could disappear too. She explains to him that it's not all what's made out to be, that sometimes it makes things difficult. Teddy understands, but still considers it a superpower.
-
Solution - They work together and move the rack. Hope jumps up and offers Teddy a hand.
