Thankfully, the puzzle-creation has ended and the only thing left was to propose a variant of the narrative that was closer to myself, rather than the desired product. Hence, I offered my final version of it, including choice-based mechanics in order to give away the illusion that the player is actually playing a game and their choices alter the flow of it, rather than as if they're reading a book and enjoying a story. Which, while being the initial concept of the original designer, is not something that speaks to me, personally. The final decision, of course, lies with the team leader and his judgement.

You can find the final version of the narrative with play through here.
